Since the collapse of HIH and FAI Insurance, and other global factors which have influenced the insurance market, the cost of professional indemnity insurance for Accountants and other Professional Advisers has skyrocketed, whilst the cover afforded has generally been reduced by exclusions, policy conditions and increased or introduced excesses.

Our principal, Daniel Gumm, has previously been appointed a divisional State Manager to the world's largest Risk Management and Insurance Broking organization and specialised in the area of Financial Products, including but not limited to Professional Indemnity products for Accountants. It was during this time that Danny was introduced to the Institute of Chartered Accounts of Australia (ICAA) and other Accounting Professional Bodies, and has been providing professional advice and facilities for over the past twelve years in this industry.
Daniel has regularly been asked to speak at conferences (eg. Industry Specific Accountants Seminars) throughout Australia due to his experience in this area, as well as writing articles for professional magazines. His expertise in this field has led to his appointment by the Institute of Chartered Accountants to exclusively teach and advise under their Public Practice Program in Queensland.
